Why TenCate?

Why TenCate?

One Partner. Every Stage.

A sports facility is a long-term investment. Who designs it, builds it, and stands behind it over time matters as much as the surface itself.

By the Numbers

  • >24,500Fields installed globally
  • >5,000Employees worldwide
  • #1Global producer of artificial sport turf
The Integrated Difference
Knowledge across every stage matters. TenCate brings together R&D, yarn and backing manufacturing, system design, installation, and maintenance. Experience from each stage feeds back into the next, creating greater consistency from initial design through years of use.
Built Around the Athlete
The Center for Turf Innovation is a 16,000-square-foot facility dedicated to surface research and development. Engineers, material scientists and sports performance specialists work together in one environment. Development is built around player-based biomechanical testing — athletes are part of the process from the start, not called in after the design is set. Performance is informed by the people who play on it.
Circular by Design
Responsible field design starts before installation and extends well beyond the final whistle. Turf systems like Pivot are designed from the outset with end-of-life in mind. Fiber-filled systems reduce material complexity and TenCate builds active, structured pathways for end-of-life field processing.

Planning for what happens at end of life is part of how a field is designed on day one.
Fields That Serve Communities
TenCate is present where communities gather, play, compete and connect. Across every region of the United States, the field design and installation teams that are part of TenCate bring local expertise and established relationships to every project. That local presence is backed by the resources, manufacturing and standards of a global organization — delivering turf systems developed with athletes at the center, designed for long-term performance and built with environmental responsibility in mind from day one.
The Scale to Deliver
TenCate harnesses more than 300 years of experience. In the United States, the organization spans manufacturing, design, installation and maintenance— with local teams present in every region. That scale supports consistency. The same standard applied to a Division I stadium, a municipal recreation field, a school playground or a community park. The same warranty. The same accountability.

Three Centuries of Innovation

TenCate was founded in 1704. Over three centuries, the company has navigated profound shifts in materials, markets, and technology — sustained by a consistent commitment to innovation and disciplined engineering.

The material science and textile expertise built across 300 years inform every turf system designed and manufactured today — in how surfaces perform, how long they last, and how responsibly they are built.
