Student-athletes across Aiken County are returning to upgraded athletic facilities following the completion of new Pivot® Performance Turf fields at four local high schools.

Aiken High School, Ridge Spring Monetta High School, Midland Valley High School, and Silver Bluff High School now share a common foundation for athletics, creating consistent playing environments for students across the district.

The projects represent a significant investment in facilities that will support school sports, physical education programs, community activities, and countless hours of practice and competition in the years ahead.

High school fields are among the most heavily used sports facilities in any community. They host football games on Friday nights, daily training sessions, physical education classes, youth programs, and community events throughout the year. As participation continues to grow, schools are looking for surfaces that can accommodate intensive use while remaining available and reliable.

The new fields were installed using Pivot®, a fiber-filled turf system developed to provide a natural grass-like playing experience without the need for performance infill.

While many field projects focus on a single facility, the Aiken County initiative stands out because of its scale.

By upgrading multiple campuses, the district is creating a more consistent athletic experience for students across the county while ensuring that each school has access to a modern, high-quality playing surface.
